How Toolbox Works

Toolbox is not a bank and does not hold any customer funds.

We partner with Thread Bank, member FDIC, where customer funds are held. Our revenue model partly mirrors that of banks as well as software companies: we share in the yield on deposits held at our partner banks, as well as the network and banking fees paid by merchants on card transactions, and we receive a portion of the fees paid by lenders on our marketplace. In turn, we reward our customers and invest in enhancing our platform.

Why Choose Toolbox?

Our experience equips us with a unique skillset to serve SMBs and build the best possible financial platform.

Our team combines experience from leading financial services and tech companies, including powerhouses like Goldman Sachs, Pie Insurance, Harvard Business School, and OneTrust.
